Schön und modern, 2012

The series of models Schön und modern analyses 4 major Modern buildings through their structure. These are the Bauhaus School in Dessau build in 1926 by Walter Gropius, the German Pavilion in Barcelona build in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the United Nations Headquarters in New York build in 1951 by Oscar Niemeyer, and Villa Savoye in Poissy build in 1931 by Le Corbusier. These emblematic buildings are deconstructed and reproduced with cheap materials.
